• agree on wedding date
• decide the wedding ceremony and reception venues, book venues
• decide whether you would like to have civil or church wedding
• in case one of you is a foreigner, start dealing with authorities
• hire wedding Co-ordinator

5 months before the wedding

• contact Registry Office or Parish Church
• make sure desired wedding date is available
• choose witnesses
• work out your budget
• draw up guest list
• book photographer and videographer
• arrange entertainment
• choose wedding outfits for bridegroom, bride, bridesmaids, mothers, witnesses
• choose cake and pastry maker
• choose wedding bouquet and venue decorations
• book accommodation for wedding guests
• organise hen / stag party
• arrange transport for wedding day

3 months before the wedding

• choose wedding rings
• have wedding announcements printed
• draw up menu
• compile a gift / wish list

1 month before the wedding

• order wedding cake and pastryfinalise
• seating plan for cars and reception
• specify all details of the wedding day
• send out invitations
• arrange rehearsals with the cosmetician, hairdresser and manicurist
• distribute pastry to wedding guests

1 week before the wedding

• arrange stag / hen party for friends
• make last amendments and changes 1 day before the wedding
• pick up wedding wedding outfit at the bridal boutique
• pick up wedding cake at the confectioner

Day „D“ – Wedding day

• ake sure you have wedding rings, put one of the witnesses in trust with the rings
• check that you and the witnesses all have ID cards with you
• bridegroom should pick up the flower bouquet
